The Lemon Tree

Very enjoyable second stay at The Lemon Tree. Beautiful building and a very comfortable stay. The evening meal was very good; breakfast was excellent. We did discover we'd got a puncture on the morning of our departure. However a member of staff (sorry cannot recall his name) went above and beyond to practically change the tyre for us by himself.

Rooms although black out blinds would be more suitable. Good double glazing no noise from road. However the ruins can become very hot with the windows closed. So the colder months would be better to stay. There are modern tv and a good selection of food

All of the staff were very friendly, extremely helpful and they were really what made our stay such an enjoyable one. Everyone we encountered during our stay, from the breakfast waiters, chefs, reception, bar staff and our waitress in the evening, did a wonderful job of representing The Lemon Tree. The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious and, despite being incredibly busy, we never waited long for food or drinks. A lovely, warm room during one of the coldest weeks of the year. It was worth going for the breakfast alone, which was fabulous! Everything was presented beautifully and tasted fresh and not at all greasy. Short walk into town. Would stay again.

Every member of the Lemon Tree team were superb, they were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had our dog with us and he was made to feel very welcome and was well looked after. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed and even had a fridge and microwave. We had asked for a room downstairs with easy access to outside for the dog and we were given a room that suited us perfectly. The bathroom was small but had a lovely hot shower. The breakfast and Sunday lunch were superb, we would stay again just to eat in the restaurant.
